Watching Nature Through The Ice

Living on Lake Ontario allows me to witness nature in the most extreme conditions. I'm always in awe at how the animals can still thrive in our harsh winters. Today's ice fishing trip was a great example because under that quiet, still ice is a whole other world that is still bustling with action!
The female perch are full of eggs and looking for their next snack. The aquatic plants are still green & lush providing the perfect cover for the Blue Gills. The Northern Pike, with their sharp teeth, are forever on the prowl for smaller fish {including the one on my hook getting reeled in!}
Being able to adapt and thrive in changing conditions is essential for survival. I think this rings true for all aspects of life, love, art and business. Roll with the tides because life is a cycle and calmer waters are right around the bend.
